I think we all have moments when we start to question everything. Sometimes you just have to step back and say "Hey, hold up, what the fuck are we doing here? What's the point of A, B, and C, and what's the worst that can happen if I stray from A, B, and C?" And then we realize that a lot of what we've come to believe through our childhoods simply isn't true - or is a misinterpretation of the truth.

The most painful of these realizations is that our parents aren't the superheroes we have always seen them as. Somewhere along the line, we realize that they are human and that they have flaws, just as any human does. They've made mistakes and they're destine to make more. They have emotions and sometimes less than the best intentions.
